Soy-Free Glazed Salmon
Crispy on the outside, tender within, coated in a sweet-savory glaze with full umami flavor and zero soy

Ingredients (serves 2)
2 salmon fillets (about 5 oz each), skin on or off
2 tablespoons No Soy sauce (or regular soy sauce if preferred)
1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon vegetable oil (for searing)
Optional & Garnish:
1 teaspoon grated ginger (for a spicier kick)
1 green onion, chopped
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
How to make it
-
In a small bowl, whisk together No Soy sauce, maple syrup or honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger (if using). Set aside.
-
Pat the salmon dry and lightly season with salt if desired. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the salmon skin-side down (if skin-on) and sear for 3–4 minutes.
-
Flip the salmon and pour the glaze over it. Continue cooking for 2–3 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets until the glaze thickens and the salmon is fully cooked.
-
Plate the salmon over a bowl of rice, noodles, or greens. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds.
